A perfect combination of beauty and brilliance, the name "Lucille Ball" is almost synonymous with the term "screwball" -- and we love her for it.
We aren't alone. Even those closest to her shared this feeling. In the book Desilu: The Story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Desi said: "Lucy was the show. Viv, Fred and I were just props. Damn good props, but props nevertheless. P.S. I Love Lucy was never just the title."

We have had way too much fun this month. Well, my idea of fun anyway. For example, I think we must have seen at least two live-theatre adaptation of A Christmas Carol. I absolutely adored Irving Berlin's White Christmas stage production in Long Beach. I am going to blaspheme and say I was almost more entertained by the stage play than by the film! I know. I know.
